2010 AQHA Champion Canada Hi-Point Three-Year-Old Colt

JL Sirocco is what I consider one of the best looking Dash Ta Fame sons standing at stud.  He has the chrome of Dash Ta Fame, but he inherited his mother's pretty head and hip.  This 15.3 hand stallion stood his first year at stud in 2011.

Sirocco spent his 2 and 3 year old years at the racetrack in Canada during the summer.  He has a 94 speed index, earned over $16K on the track, and has his ROM in racing.  The trainer said he was a super nice moving colt and the people who cared for Sirocco said he was very kind, gentle and easy to handle.

Solara, Sirocco's dam, is probably the prettiest mare I own.  She was also one of the most talented barrel mares I trained.  A knee injury from the racetrack prior to me purchasing her limited her career as a barrel horse.  That may have been a blessing because she has thrown some awfully nice colts.  JL Sabina, a full sister, In her first year running at Montana Pro Rodeos, Sabina placed at the Helena Last Chance Stampede and the Chouteau County Fair and Rodeo in Fort Benton.

There are a lot of Dash Ta Fame stallions in the country.  Very few of them are proven on the track or in the barrel pen.  Currently I know of none who are proven in both areas.  My goal is to have the one who has done both.  I plan to start training him for barrels this winter, will breed him next spring and then continue the barrel training.  It will be a lot to ask of him, but I want a stud proven in both disciplines.

This guy is strikingly pretty.  He has a big, sloped shoulder, a big hip and a super long, powerful gaskin.  He has great bone and straight legs.  He floats when he travels and he is good natured.  He will be crossed on several daughters of Red this spring and I think the cross will be great.

I will be nominating Sirocco to VGBRA, 5 State, PESI and other stallion incentive programs in the next two years so his get will be eligible for all the sidepots and added money.
